This year is an extremely exciting one because Dixie has been scheduled to put on a new play that it has never done before.

Dixie will be the first school in Southern Utah to put on Drowsy Chaperone, which in itself is bragging rights.

Drowsy Chaperone will be an extremely exciting performance since it is new to the school.

This play originated in 1997 when writer Bob Martin created a skit honoring his friend, Martin and his then fiancee, Janet Van De Graaff, as a wedding gift. Among his group of friends were Lisa Lambert, Greg Morrison, and Don McKellar. This rather quirky forty minute musical spoof would later become the full-length musical we now know.
