Finding The Message

When a student looks through the halls of Dixie High school, they might not think there is a band with a reason to play music.
As a closer look is taken a person would find the The Message.
The Message is a three piece alternative punk rock band that is always looking to play some music for anyone that will listen.
Their singer and guitar player, junior Garrison Ganowsky loves to put on a good show. “When I get on stage I just let loose and try to put on a show to remember,” Ganowsky said when talking about what he likes do on stage.
The band also consists of bassist, junior Braden Hallman and drummer, junior Hunter Chamberlain.
The Message formed in December of 2009 and has been running strong ever since.
Hunter Chamberlain says the band keeps going because of how much the three members have in common. “We have chemistry and you can tell by the music we play and write.”
The first time the band played in front of a crowd was the school talent show in eighth grade.
The trio covered the song “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes. “I like playing 'Seven Nation' because the song is so amazing; everyone knows it and can get into it."
Since then they have moved on and write their own music, and have since released an album named Duck Tape.
The album features "Julius Caesar," which was in the Language Arts project video also named Julius Caesar.
The band’s front man, Garrison Ganowsky writes all the lyrics and guitar parts for the band. When he was asked what inspires him to write the lyrics he answered, “I write for myself and about all the life experiences I go through and the adventures of life.”
So as the band continues on they hope to spread The Message.
