Flyer Basketball Recap

------
Before Friday nights game between the Dixie Flyers and Hurricane Tigers, the Flyers were at the top of the standings and now they’re in the middle of the pack. Just like a basketball game itself, it goes to show how fast things can change on the hardwood.
With Dixie’s 31-39 loss to Hurricane it put them in 4th in the region.
The team has gone through up and downs and are trying to keep their heads up even with all the injuries that have come upon them.
With their 54-51 loss to Cedar the hole keeps getting deeper for their state playoff dreams.
Team captains and Coach Cuff are trying to help the Flyers bounce back from their recent losses and prove they’re number one. Especially after last year’s losing drought.
As the Dixie’s student body and staff may be frustrated, the team still has their fellow students showing school spirit and supporting the team a hundred percent.
With Dixie’s win at Pine View 45-34 it seems that the Flyers’ luck is finally turning out.
But, not knowing how the last two games of the basketball season will turn out, fingers are crossed for them to turn out the very best.
The team is staying strong after everything they’ve gone through explains senior Deshon Brown, “It sucks to lose, but our team is still strong and we’ll pull through.”
So fellow students, go out and support the boys basketball team!
