Opinion: Clothing Blues

Clothing Blues

Since I have been at the Dixie High community I have noticed that people wear a lot of drab clothing.

I constantly see people wearing shirts with certain sayings or fancy lettering, or maybe even more than ten people with the same shirt or pants, but this style of clothing is boring.

Seeing the same things every day can become a downer on society, we're not meant to be zombies with serial numbers on our necks.

It would be nice to see some individuality; people should change their clothing to show their personality.

The lights sparkled on the entrance decorations; the garden created a magical feeling as people walked in; all the while, loud music pumped the adrenaline through the students as they danced together, as couples, and by their lonesome.

The most popular day dates the couples enjoyed were everything from the movies to Anti-Gravity, but none of it compared to what awaited them later that night.

Preference was a night of memories: the dance, the refreshments, all the energy everybody had put into it, all coming together to make a miraculous dance.

“Hanging out with friends and being with everybody,” was Dixie junior Kent Hess's favorite part of Preference. Groups of friends were stationed around the tables where the refreshments sat, laughing and talking, some out on the dance floor, but all of them together having a blast, nonetheless.
