Preference 2012

The lights sparkled on the entrance decorations; the garden created a magical feeling as people walked in; all the while, loud music pumped the adrenaline through the students as they danced together, as couples, and by their lonesome.

The most popular day dates the couples enjoyed were everything from the movies to Anti-Gravity, but none of it compared to what awaited them later that night.

Preference was a night of memories: the dance, the refreshments, all the energy everybody had put into it, all coming together to make a miraculous dance.

“Hanging out with friends and being with everybody,” was Dixie junior Kent Hess's favorite part of Preference. Groups of friends were stationed around the tables where the refreshments sat, laughing and talking, some out on the dance floor, but all of them together having a blast, nonetheless.

There wasn’t anything that needed fixing, but a few people thought we could’ve had more of a few things. “I guess more refreshments.” Jeff Glauser, a Dixie Junior added after saying that the dance and dinner were the best part of the day.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the dance best. Braxton Funk, a junior, said the atmosphere in the Dixie High commons was what he liked best about the whole day. “It was fun, the dance was fun.”

The dance being the highlight of the night, Funk added laughing, “More lights and more flashy things,” would make the dancing part more fun.

Preference couldn’t have been any better, whether the students danced, stood in groups and talked, or sat at the tables eating refreshments.
