Teachers vs Students

Teachers vs Students
by Tyler Johnson

------

The teacher student basketball game this year was surprisingly better than last year's game. All because it seemed to be more interesting and exciting.

Students from both sides were extremely energetic, even before the game started; students were cheering as both teams were warming up for the game.

You could also hear the students calling out the names of their favorite teachers or students.

It was easy to tell that the teachers as well as the students that were playing were all revved up and ready to play while they were shooting their practice shots before the game had started.

It was very easy to see the determination to win that was in their eyes.

The students started out strong as they took the ball from the toss, but not only did they start out strong, their teamwork was near perfect as they quickly left the teachers in the dust in the first half.

Continuing to shoot basket after basket as their score started to rise, it was not long after that the teachers had caught up and showed that they had brought their games as well. Their teamwork was just as great or maybe even better than the students.

Each team would take turns going back and forth. With score tied, Coach Roberts scored on a driving layup with under 10 seconds left to win it for the teachers.

Though the game did not last long, you could tell that the student body enjoyed another great tradition of D Week.
