Junior Week

Junior Week

Not everything has to be about seniors just because it’s their final school year. For the juniors it was extremely exciting to have a week all for themselves, which also means it has to be the best.

Who doesn’t like to start the week with something sweet and minty? Juniors received Junior Mints on Monday, which was the start to a wonderful week.

The next day there wasn’t a need to assemble an outfit because it was pajama day, but that didn’t mean they got to sleep in class, it just meant they were able to be comfortable and not take time to do their hair. “Pajama day is the best because I love pajamas!” laughed Kelsi Hall, a junior.

Lunch on Wednesday at Iceberg was where juniors were let out early for lunch, allowing them to go to eat longer and get a head start on getting in line at Iceberg and enjoy the delectable food sooner than the upper or lower classmen.

Thursday was rocking during lunch. The auditorium filled with juniors and other students playing Rock Band, letting the rockstar inside them shine, all the while competing and getting the students pumped up for the final day of the school week.

Finally, to put a cherry on top of an outstanding week, an assembly wrapped it all up. Junior Sydney Ashbrook said the best thing was the Junior Prom Royalty and skits. “The assembly (was great) because it was fun, exciting, and funny.”

With all the juniors hyped up for junior prom, the announcement came of who was going to be the king and queen: Carl Whetten and Cydnee Wilkinson, who both shined when crowned.

Junior week was an exciting one with everything falling into place perfectly and leaving the Dixie High juniors to enjoy the rest of the school year.
