End-of-Level Stress Relievers

End-of-Level Stress Relievers

------

When students hear the word test, they think of scantrons, tight stomachs, number two pencils, and the anxiety of getting the correct answer.

Over the years of taking end of level tests I have learned some tips that can help raise scores and lower the stress.

The first one that I seemed to notice was eating a decent breakfast, or eating breakfast at all. Not eating in the morning is a habit that students may have, but should reconsider changing the day of the test.

When you’re hungry during a test and haven’t eaten all day, you won’t be able to concentrate on the materials or the questions being asked.

Talking to some students I have learned to read the answer choices first, then read the question, then read the answers again.

This is mostly used when it is necessary to read a passage or story before answering what you know about what you just read.

Another test tip that may be commonly known is skipping a question if you’re not sure what the answer is, and come back to it after you answer all of the other questions.

When you take a look at it later you might notice something that you might not have before, or just taking a second glance might help with getting the answer.

There are also things that can be done in the days before to help relieve the stress. When a teacher is having a review take good notes and study them at home.

Another way to help yourself the day before the test it to get a good nights sleep the night before the test. If you don’t get enough rest you will be tired and your mind won’t be able to function at its full potential.

You could also go out and do some really fun activities the week before the test. This will help get your mind off the test and just relax and have a great time before the stressful testing.

The final tip that I have is when you’re done and have answered all of the questions, you should go back and review all of the answers you put down, You might just catch a mistake and increase your score.

So when taking a test always make sure you remember the tips and stress relievers to get a high score to get good grades on the end of levels.
